Jurassic World: Dominion has been delayed until 2022
After the delay of several movies over the past few days, now it is the turn of Jurassic World: Dominion and the release of this movie has been delayed until 2022.
According to Variety, Jurassic World: Dominion is now set to hit theaters a year later, on June 10, 2022. Universal Studios had previously planned to release the film in 2021.
Jurassic World: Dominion director Colin Truro took to Twitter to announce the news and shared a poster of the film with the same old and famous Jurassic Park logo. This poster probably refers to the successful and unforgettable 1993 film Jurassic Park.

Universal reacted to the banning of its films by cinemas
The director of the new Jurassic World movie said:
“For the last three months I have worked with great actors and agents and we can’t wait to share this world with you. Even though we have to wait a little longer for Dominion to be released, it will all be worth it. So long as we stay safe and sound and take care of each other.”
Jurassic World: Dominion stopped production in March due to the Covid-19 outbreak, but Universal made every effort to get the project back into production as soon as possible.
And well, in recent times, Jurassic World: Dominion was one of the first projects to resume its work after the Covid-19 outbreak, and the developers have been working hard and cautiously. According to some insiders, these health measures have increased the cost of producing the film by about $ 5 million.
Filming for Jurassic World: Dominion is not yet complete, but apparently less than a month to go. The film is the sixth title in the 27-year-old Jurassic Park franchise, which once again stars Chris Pert and Bryce Dallas Howard.
The Jurassic franchise is actually a diamond for Universal Studios, and it is interesting to know that the last 5 films in this series have been worth over $ 5 billion for Universal. Jurassic World, which practically revived the series, grossed $ 1.6 billion at the box office.
Jurassic World: Dominion is not the only universal title to be delayed; It was recently announced that Fast & Furious 9 has also been delayed until May 28, 2021.
The delay in the release of Jurassic World: Dominion was predictable for two reasons: The first reason is related to the unhealthy conditions of the world. Although the incidence has dropped in some countries, many areas are still struggling with the coronavirus epidemic. As a result, crowded places such as cinemas continue to be closed;
The second and final reason is related to the short time interval between Dominion and Fast and Furious 9. If the latest Jurassic film had not been delayed, it would have hit the silver screen quickly and violently just two weeks after the ninth episode; Something that, if it happened, could affect the sales of both.
